Unlike most training and development groups which utilize simply
a transactional format, using a one or two day delivery system, Capital Leadership Associates engages a time-tested behavior
change and development dynamic, utilizing the principle of "spaced repetition" to create a transformational experience guaranteed
to insure retention of the information, deliver practical application, and most importantly measureable results. Training
alone is transactional where trainees get into the information. Development, on the other hand, is transformational. The information
gets into them and becomes part of who they are.
Capital Leadership Associates promises a development dynamic that
will change attitudes which control behavior, which, determine results, and ultimately, the degree of success enjoyed.
All
materials are supported word-for-word from the written content on audio CD, making the learning process easy and convenient.
Each lesson is approximately thirty minutes on audio so it's not a marathon experience. Meetings are typically conducted weekly
in a two and a half-hour action conference with everything being on an "assign, implement, and report-on-results" format.
Trainees, through the on-the-job assigments, are able to take theory, and immediately bring it into their reality the same
week. Participants then return the following week to report on results, hear how others met challenges and solved problems,
approached obstacles, and, ultimately reached their goals. The interactive dialogue of the group, the group dynamics, the
friendly peer pressure of the group, the getting and giving of feedback to and from the facilitator and across the table,
and the fact that everything is on audio CD, is all done by design to give each trainee maximum integration of the course
material, maximum application of the information, and maximum results.
In essence, it's a five step development process
that includes listening, reading, doing, discussing, and getting feedback.
Capital Leadership Associates does utilize
the seminar approach for specific application where the client schedule doesn't allow for spaced repetition. Typically,
offshore supervisors and managers who can't come to a weekly program. In other cases, such as select EEOC programs,
and programs that primarily involve the need to impart simple information are scenarios conducive to a one to three day format.
Nevertheless, offshore managers can still access the spaced repetition format by simply spreading the meetings out over a
larger space of time. In that way, assignments can be given, application can be made, results can be discussed, and professional
feedback given.
We don't develop our habits in one day and we cannot change them with a one day program.
